"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." -Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV
The bible tells us that by grace we are saved and not by our works. Have you wondered why this verse is so commonly misunderstood? As people we generally try to understand the will of God and most of the time the grace of God. I can imagine though we perceive and receive the grace of God, we may not necessarily completely comprehend how vast it truly is. In Jerusalem Countdown the movie, Jaci Velasquez plays the role of a Christian wife who's husband does not completely believe that Christ is real and continues to doubt as he deals with this issue. If this happened to you or me, I could only imagine what our initial response would be. I believe God gave us his word as instructions for life yet with so much meaning behind them to show his heart for his children. We hope Jerusalem Countdown would encourage you not to give up your loved ones who may yet know the love of Jesus you feel. Pray for them, love them, and always let your actions be full of grace.
