The “Ultimate” movie trilogy features “The Ultimate Gift,” “The Ultimate Life,” and “The Ultimate Legacy.” These three movies are best when watched together. The “Ultimate” movies are a worldwide sensation that follow the story of Jason Stevens’ life – his trials and tribulations as the beneficiary in his deceased billionaire grandfather’s will. It’s a touching story of loss, faith, and redemption. Out of the many lessons learned in the trilogy, here are the three that are sure to inspire:
1. Money Doesn’t Always Equal Happiness
“The Ultimate Gift” tells the tale of a spoiled grandson inheriting “the ultimate gift” from his deceased grandfather – only to have to jump through hoops to get his inheritance (which remains a mystery until the end). The main lesson learned from this movie is that money can’t buy happiness.
Stevens expects a lot of cash from his wealthy grandfather. When he receives instructions for 12 tasks instead, he resents his grandfather – and then learns difficult life lessons on his journey toward receiving the inheritance. "The Ultimate Gift” teaches that there’s more to life than money.
2. Family Is the Most Important Legacy
“The Ultimate Life” teaches many lessons, but the most important is that family is the greatest legacy of all. This film, part two in the trilogy, follows Stevens after he receives his inheritance. Even though he appears to have everything he needs, he must re-examine his life after discovering a journal his grandfather left behind.
The movie promotes the values of hard work and commitment, as well leadership and the drive to do good. It shows Jason putting his family over his career, and it carries the lesson that some things are worth more than money. No matter how rich or poor you are, you can live a fulfilling life if your priorities are in the right place.
3. Forgiveness and Acceptance Are Key
The final installment in the trilogy, “The Ultimate Legacy,” continues Stevens’ journey. After finally coming to terms with the problems within his own family, Jason must help a friend go through a similar journey. The moral of this movie is that if we learn from our experiences, we can change the lives of others. When those who we teach become a teacher, we can change the world.
Forgiveness and acceptance are major lessons learned in the final movie. The protagonist must work to forgive his estranged family members and others who have wronged him in the past. He also has to accept the deaths of loved ones and overcome a troubled past. Along the way, Jason learned other lessons such as how to appreciate life’s non-monetary gifts and how to use wealth to help others.
