Great American Media’s first original drama series is back in action for a second season.
“County Rescue” has been renewed for another season, with production starting this month and a target January 2025 premiere.
The series was an instant hit when it premiered on both Great American Pure Flix and on Great American Family. It tells the story of the unique challenges EMTs and paramedics face on both their personal and professional journeys.
The best news? The entire cast will be back for the second season! The series features an ensemble cast led by Julia Reilly, Riley Hough, Percy Bell, Kristin Wollett, Brett Varvel, Stacey Patino, Tim Ross, Keller Fornes, Angel Luis, and Curtia Torbert.

Season 1 ends with Dani and Tim reconciling their friendship and both receiving the opportunity to serve as a full-time EMT at the station. We’re left with a cliffhanger when an unexpected guest from Dani’s past suddenly shows up during her first shift as a full-timer.
Unlike the first season, which only had five episodes, the second season will have six episodes and will pick up where the first season left off. We continue to follow the paramedics and EMTs of single house through their professional and personal journeys.
The show’s producers, JD DeWitt, Brian Baugh and Shawn Boskie,are passionate about including God in the storyline. And the characters really integrate their faith into their work and personal life.
“My hope is that [the faith aspect] always comes out in an organic way and is something that’s consistent with the characters. So, knowing the audience, we created characters that have that leaning. Our artistic hope was that nothing would be overly forced but that (faith would play) an organic part of their conflicts and what they’re going through in the storyline,” Brian Baugh said.
