Great American Christmas is less than 100 days away and we have a very exciting lineup of new Originals coming that we can’t wait to share with our Great American Pure Flix members.
One of those movies is “Get Him Back for Christmas" that stars married couple Carlos and Alexa PenaVega. The pair will play high school friends who reunite at the holidays as Alexa’s character returns home and enlists him to help her write a song to win back her ex.
This movie just started production this month, so here’s all we know about “Get Him Back for Christmas”:
Our first movie starring the PenaVega’s is the Original movie that was released earlier this year, “Mr. Manhattan.” In this movie, Carlos plays an ambitious attorney who struggles to balance his career and the demands of fatherhood after becoming caretaker to his niece and nephew, he’s forced to reevaluate his priorities and lost faith. Alexa plays the family’s longtime friend and babysitter. “Mr. Manhattan” is now available to stream on Great American Pure Flix.

Carlos PenaVega’s character, Jack, works at The Salvation Army in the movie. The heart of the movie centers on Jack’s role with The Salvation Army, and Bella (Alexa’s character) soon finds herself inspired by his devotion and passion to a life of doing the most good.
The PenaVega’s have had a personal relationship with this charitable organization previously.
“We [also] feel fortunate to have worked with The Salvation Army for a number of years, and we look forward to representing the authentic goodness behind the brand and mission,” Carlos said.

Another Great American star, Mario Lopez, also plays a key role in this film as an executive producer along with the PenaVega’s.
Emmy Award winner Mario Lopez has joined the Great American Media family. The former “Saved by the Bell” star signed a multi-picture, multi-year deal, and his first film is set to air during the 2024 Great American Christmas festivities.

The PenaVegas moved to Nashville earlier this year, after the pair believed they both felt separate calls from God to move there.
“As God would have it, some friends of ours who moved from Maui were living there and their parents house just happened to be available last minute,” the PenaVegas wrote on Instagram. “We were welcomed with open arms and a gorgeous place to stay. We spent the week exploring and one by one the pieces started to fall in place easier than ever.”
Both Alexa and Carlos’s characters are musicians in their own right. Bella, Alexa’s character is a successful musician who just publicly broke-up with her rockstar boyfriend, Sage.
Jack, Carlos’s character, is working to launch a new music education program called Harmony Heroes. He also used to be Bella’s songwriting partner. Bella recruits Jack to co-write a song that she is hoping will win back Sage.
