A father's role in a family is highly important and should not be taken lightly. A father has certain duties to his children that only he can fulfill. Noah Brown learns what it means to truly be a father and place your family before your ambitions in the Original movie "God's Country Song."
In this article, we're going to look at how "God's Country Song" offers encouragement to fathers and what lessons fathers can take away from this movie, which is available to stream only on Great American Pure Flix.
Trusting in God's Plan
One of the key things Noah had to learn throughout the film was to trust God’s plan, even when it looked different than his plan. Noah is thrown a huge curveball in his life when he learns that he is a father. He was on the way to becoming the next big country star and now he faced the choice of following his dreams or putting his family first.
Noah was afraid: he didn’t feel like he could be the dad his son needed. Noah's manager encouraged him to trust God’s plan and trust that God would be there every step of the way and help him be the dad that God was calling him to be. To be the man that your family needs, one of the most important things you can do is put your trust in God and His plan, and show your children that trust.
Letting Go of Your Pride
Noah's pride is evident from the start. He feel like he could do everything on his own with no one’s help, including God's. His fame has made him feel invincible, like he could do anything he wanted with no consequences. But being a father means admitting when you need help, not only from your spouse and other role models in your life but also from God.
Doing away with pride in our lives is so important to be the kind of parent that our kids need. Noah learns the sacrifices his own dad made in order to be present in Noah's life and give him the opportunities he had growing up. This makes Noah realize that he needs to choose between his own selfish dreams or being there for his childhood.

Noah also realizes that he needs God in order to be the father he wants to be. It's only when he admits that he needs God's help that he is able to overcome his past hurts and reconcile with his family.
Hope for the Future
No matter how badly you believe you have messed up or what you have done, God always
provides forgiveness and redemption for you. This is a major theme Noah experiences when his manager went to bat for him at his record label, saying, “Everyone deserves a second
chance.”
Your past and the mistakes you have made doesn’t define you. We serve a God of second
chances. If Jesus is your Lord and Savior, you can know that your sins are forgiven, and your slate has been wiped clean. Because of this, Noah is able to break free of his sinful patterns and have hope that he can be the father figure his son deserves.
Knowing that God's grace and mercy is always there for us enables us to forgive others who trespass against us. Showing our children that same grace and mercy God gives us allows them to have hope for their future.
