What You Can Expect to Learn from 'Miracle at Manchester'

In the faith drama "Miracle at Manchester," the story of a young boy, Brycen, facing a life-threatening brain tumor unfolds with emotional depth and poignant realism, based on a true story. Against the backdrop of a medical battle that tests the limits of Brycen's strength and perseverance, "Miracle at Manchester" illuminates the extraordinary power of community, prayer and miracles in the face of adversity.

Let's dive deeper into the lessons you can learn from "Miracle at Manchester."

The Power of Community

When Brycen was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer, a community surrounded Brycen and his family. They began to pray and stand with Brycen while he perseveres through this battle. Brycen’s teammates show their dedication, support and compassion for Brycen, for example, when the entire team shaved their heads in solidarity. Their selfless acts, constant support and endless prayers are what make up Brycen’s community his spiritual army.

The hand of God is moved when a community comes together to pray and stand with someone who needs a miracle. How can you be that miracle in someone else’s life, in their greatest time of need?

The Power of Prayer

In "Miracle at Manchester," we are reminded of the power of prayer. The Newman’s school
community prayed for Brycen, storming heaven in hopes of a miracle for his healing and his
health. Throughout the film we see Brycen’s friends and family faithfully crying out in
prayer and holding onto God’s promises that He will provide for us always. We see and hear
Brycen’s prayer believing and trusting in God’s plan, and leaning on God for strength when
he knows he needs the support.

God is Still in the Business of Miracles

God still is in the business of miracles. It’s incredible to see the miracles that God did in
Brycen’s life throughout the story of “Miracle at Manchester.” Brycen calls out to God,
saying “I want you to know that no matter what happens, I will always love you.” We make
the choice that no matter what happens in life, we will always love God and live for Him. We
believe in His goodness despite the challenges and sufferings of this world. Because of the
faith that Brycen had, and the faith of the people who surrounded him, Brycen knew
that God would do incredible things.
