It was with great sorrow that we heard the passing of "Heartland" actor Robert Cormier on September 23. Cormier played Finn, in Seasons 15 and 16 of the longest-running Canadian drama.
Though the release dates of these seasons on Pure Flix have yet to be announced, we send our prayers and condolences to the "Heartland" cast, crew and the Cormier family as they navigate this difficult time.
According to "The Hollywood Reporter," while there was no cause of death released, Cormier sustained injuries from a fall before passing away in a hospital in Etobicoke, Ontario. Cormier was only 33.
We've previously shared prayers for the dying and those who have passed and believe is this an appropriate time to reiterate as we send our thoughts and prayers to those of this beloved series who are grieving:
PRAYER FOR THOSE WHO HAVE PASSED
Lord Jesus Christ, by your own three days in the tomb, you hallowed the graves of all who believe in you and so made the grave a sign of hope that promises resurrection even as it claims our mortal bodies. Grant that our brother/sister, [insert name], may sleep here in peace until you awaken him/her to glory, for you are the resurrection and the life. Then he/she will see you face to face and in your light will see light and know the splendor of God, for you live and reign forever and ever. Amen.
If you're also grieving the death of a loved one or need healing and comfort, we encourage you to watch "Going Home," a series that follows hospice nurse Charlie as she helps guide her patients to their forever home. You can also binge "Heartland" seasons 1-14 on Pure Flix as well.
