10 Books to Add to Your Summer Reading List

There are so many things to look forward to in the summer. But our favorite? Summer reading! We can’t get enough of a good summer book - whether it be an easy beach read, a self-help book, or a faith-filled story that gives hope to the entire family. 

We wanted to share some of our recommendations to add to your summer book list, inspired by some of the movies you can stream right here on Great American Pure Flix. Read the book, then watch the corresponding movie with the whole family!

Little Women

Themes of sisterhood and family love make this classic novel easy to read, which is why it made our summer reading list! Follow the tale of Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy March as they go from childhood to womanhood. Loosely based on the lives of the author and her three sisters, all four main characters quickly became beloved by readers. 

Get excited because this classic tale will be retold in a contemporary setting this Christmas! “A Little Women’s Christmas” follows the lives and loves of the March sisters in a small Tennessee town at Christmas. Jo March is played by Jillian Murray, Trevor Donovan is Friedrich “Fritz” Baehr, Meg March is played by Jen Lilley, Laura Osnes plays Beth March, Julia Reilly is Amy March, and John is played by Jesse Hutch. The one-and-only Gladys Knight performs “Joy.” 

Ainsley McGregor Series: A Case for the Winemaker
