The highly anticipated latest installment of the “God’s Not Dead” franchise is now playing in theaters, and it comes at the perfect time for fans to get a strong dose of hope and encouragement in the midst of this election season.
“God’s Not Dead: In God We Trust” tells the story of Pastor David Hill (David A. R. White), who amid political and spiritual turmoil, steps up to run for Congress after an incumbent's sudden death. With an opponent who aims to erase religion from policy, David's fight becomes a beacon of hope and optimism for people seeking moral leadership in a divided world.
According to producer Michael Scott, the film comes at a crucial time when many are questioning the intersection between faith in politics—especially when some Christians have become reluctant to speak out about what they believe.
“’God's Not Dead: In God We Trust’ serves as a bold reminder that complacency can erode our liberties, freedom, and faith when we fail to actively defend and uphold them,” he said. “If we truly believe in a faithful God who is ‘good all the time,’ we must be willing to speak out and stand firm in our beliefs, even in the face of great risks and opposition."

Great American Pure Flix is partnering with Pinnacle Peak Pictures to bring this faith-inspiring film to the big screen, and we are confident that fans will be captivated by this entertaining story and all-star cast.
In addition to White, the film also stars Isaiah Washington, Dean Cain, Samaire Armstrong, Ray Wise, Scott Baio and Charlene Tilton. There will also be guest appearances by former Governor Mike Huckabee, Raymond Arroyo, and the Grammy Award-Winning band Newsboys, which recently released the official music video of their song, “In God We Trust,” that is featured in the film.
"There's been this stigma. But I think we're starting to see — people becoming more vocal about sharing their faith, talking about it, saying how it influences them and what it means to them. And I think you see the same thing in the character, David," Scott said. "I think all of us get to a point sometimes where we're beaten down. We're all of these things [David goes through] and we're like, should we just give up? But I think the ones that persevere see the best results. I think God honors that as well.”
And with statistics showing millions of Christians have chosen not to vote in past elections, Scott is hoping that this film will encourage the faithful to reverse that trend and make their voices heard.
"We should vote for what we stand for. Choose the candidates that best align for you,” Scott said. "For me, as a Christian, I think we need to do that. I always say, let your voice be heard, let your vote be heard. I think it's so important. And I think in today's world, we have such a political divide. I don't believe any one man's going to fix that divide. I think if we put God in the center of that, that's where we can see a difference."
