Adoption is a beautiful way to build a family, but it can be a long and sometimes difficult journey. Kim and Steven Wilson of Fresno, California were excited to share their story with Pure Flix Insider just so they could encourage other adoptive parents. But what they didn’t know was that they were also in for a life-changing surprise:
Watch the couple’s total shock when they received a gift out of the blue:
Thanks to YOU, the PureFlix.com family, the Wilson’s adoption fundraiser is 100 percent completed. Your support means that they can focus on bringing baby Wilson home — and continue helping other children and families through Adopt Together, a crowdfunding platform that helps families raise resources to complete the adoption process.
When they were first married, the Wilsons were told that Kim was unable to have children. “I shared my heart with Steven about adoption,” she said, “and later on that year Steven said, ‘You know what, I’m really ready to be a dad. We’re going to make a kid really happy… Let’s make the adoption appointment for orientation.’”
But after Steven decided he was ready to be a parent, God stepped in. The Wilsons miraculously conceived their son, Corban.
“Even after we had him, we decided adoption was still going to be a part of our story,” Kim said.
