Here are three reasons you should stream our Christmas movies on Great American Pure Flix this holiday season.

The Talent

A good Christmas movie can made that much better when it features some of your favorite stars. Over the past four years, Great American has had pleasure of working with some of the top Christmas movie talent in the business, some of whom have been in the family content space for decades.

Whether you grew up watching Candace Cameron Bure and Lori Loughlin on “Full House,” Mario Lopez on “Saved by the Bell,” or even Danica McKellar on “The Wonder Years,” Christmas movies on Pure Flix this year are full of familiar faces.

"There’s that feeling of nostalgia, feeling of comfort, feeling of wanting to tell stories that the whole family can enjoy together, which we certainly do,” Great American Media CEO Bill Abbott said in a recent interview. “Those iconic stars are so representative of our brand of faith and family, of all the good things that life has to offer, especially at that time of year."

And to make this year’s lineup of Christmas movies even stronger, we’ve also had the chance to feature some of our up-and-coming Great American Pure Flix talent, such as Julia Reilly, the breakout star of the Great American Original series “County Rescue,” who was part of the very first ensemble cast for a Great American Christmas film, “A Little Women’s Christmas.”

The Quality

This year, Great American brings you the most original faith and family Christmas content available — offering more meaningful and quality stories than we’ve ever had. And for good reason.

“I think that the [Christmas movie] genre has gotten a bad name in some parts over the years… But that’s a thing of the past from our point of view,” Abbott said. “We take great pains in the storytelling, in the character development and the locations and the music and the wardrobe and all the things that make it feel like a Christmas experience."

If you had the chance to attend our inaugural Great American Christmas Festival this year, you know we put a lot of consideration and thought into the entire Christmas experience. We want all Great American fans to have chance to embrace the spirit of the season every time they interact with us—and that starts with making our Christmas movies the best they can be.

“I think in all the time I've been doing this, I've never been more optimistic and felt more positive about a lineup and a schedule that we have," Abbott said. "And this is really the culmination of four years of work."

Christmas as It’s Meant to Be

This year is all about celebrating Christmas as it’s meant to be, and our lineup of holiday movies tells heartfelt stories that will remind you of the faith, hope and traditions that make Christmas so special.

“To share the Gospel within the movies and remind people of the hope of Jesus, that's what has been inspiring for me, and I feel like it's given me a new energy going into continuing to make Christmas movies, not only as an actor but also other Christmas movies I produce,” explained Great American Chief Content Officer Candace Cameron Bure. “Sharing that within the stories is really powerful for me and important in my journey of faith and as a creative in the entertainment industry.”

“I want people to be entertained, to sit on their couch and laugh or shed a tear,” she added. “But as the years go on, I’ve wanted to find more meaning in these stories. That’s what I appreciate about Great American Family, they want faith-forward content that reminds viewers of the hope and joy that come with the season.”
